Traditional metal spacers (the bars which separate the inner and outer panes of glass in a glazed unit) allow a greater proportion of heat to escape into the atmosphere. They can also allow a temperature gradient to develop which can encourage condensation.
The warm edge spacers used in our glazed units are manufactured from a highly insulating composite plastic, combined with very thin stainless steel or aluminium membranes to create a warm, leak and condensation free environment.
Spacers are available in a variety of colours allowing you to select an appropriate context colour or create an additional design feature.
